What We Believe
Core Beliefs
The Sanctuary of Delphi is a church dedicated to making disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. Committed to the Great Commission, we share the Gospel with love, mercy, and compassion.
God
We believe in one God (Deuteronomy 6:4), the Creator of all. He has revealed Himself as the Father (Creator), the Son (Savior), and the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit).
Gifts of Holy Spirit
We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, including tongues, interpretation, prophecy, knowledge, wisdom, discernment, faith, miracles, healing, helps, and governance. (Mark 16:15-18; Acts 5:16; 2 Corinthians 12:1-11)
Baptism
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin, identifying with His death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38). We also believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:4).
